Once upon a time the effin heathen that I call a roomate made some pretty damn sweet paintings. Some of the most rich explorations of texture and realism I have see in person. The gas can painting is my first memory of seeing Chris’s work and even as a slide during the Agora jury process it won my heart, but then to see the detail and surface treatment just took it to a new level. I am lucky enough to own the painting from this series with the Jack Daniels bottle titled “To All My Haters”. It was my first real art purchase and one of the pride of my entire collection. All of the paintings have now sold and gone to good homes, but the quality of work that Chris Tennant produces only gets better with time. Take a second and check out his page and follow him to see whats next.

This week I said good bye to final two piece from this series. I’ll miss them, they were the first of my current style. A lot of decisions, heart ache, and work were put into these painting. And almost a years worth of work.
